“Stop Sam! Please! Don’t run anymore!”, I screamed at Sam who was running happily on the wide fields of grass holding my string as tight as our sense of connection to each other.
I am caught by the branches. My wings are wide open letting the wind get under them and make me float close to the branch to which my string is twisted. On the other side of the string, Sam not having noticed this fuss, is wondering why the string is not catching up his happy run. He is starting to pull the string. “Stop that Sam! Look at me!” I continued louder this time.
Although it is the third time since my lucky day that Sam stepped in the store in search of a light, stripy kite and picked me excitedly, yet the fear of flight remains in my heart. In these three times of practice, I have kept looking at Sam and relied on my attachment to him to forget the panic of flying so high in the sky.
And now, here I am, caught in this old tall tree with long branches wide open in every direction. I wish my string had twisted to a lower branch and I was kept away from the wind, hanging in the volume of leafy branches inside the tree.
As a strong gust of wind blows under my wings, the stretching sound of my string gets into my ear and adds to the panic in my heart. “what if the string gets cut?! Oh my God! This means that I will go wherever the wind takes me and I might keep flying in the air, at this height… or even higher!”, even the thought was killing me. The world was turning dark in front of my eyes. “What if I close my wings and fall to the ground?”, I was struggling to find some way. “But then I will fall down with a float in the air, and who knows? My paper could get stuck to some branch and tear apart; death of a fearful kite! No! This is not me.”

Through the window of the sitting room, 6-year old Ruby could see the first droplets of the rain wetting the street. He jumped up and ran downstairs. “oh! My digger!”, he remembered. He climbed the stairs up to level 3 to put on his builder’s hat and bring the so called DinoDigger down to the yard. The thought of rain had pumped extra energy into his muscles. Although the DinoDigger was a bit wider than his chest, the boy managed to put his arms around it, but he couldn’t see the stairs anymore. He tried to lay its bucket on his right shoulder and hang the huge body of Dino on his back, holding each with one hand.
“Well done Ruby the builder! To the rainy muddy building site…”, he strongly went into the role. “and down we go… YuHu!”, he continued the play and ran down the stairs. A current of joy flooded on Ruby when he entered the backyard. The sparkling droplets of rain glowing in the cloudy evening sky and falling down on the greenness of spring grass. The fresh smell of Daffodil and Primrose flew all the way over the grass and touched his nose.
Ruby put DinoDigger down, opened his mouth facing to the sky to drink some drops of this exhilarating shine. His mouth felt spotty cool. Now at his most energy, he took the DinoDigger to the bare corner of the garden turning out muddy. The perfect place for Ruby the builder to burst out his imagination.

"Oh, my God! I've lost my mind! what was next?!"

I faced to the audience. Everyone was watching. They were all waiting for the rest.

"Come on Ben! What's wrong with you?!", I whispered to myself. The more I tried to remember the note, the further it would go! I was striving to catch the piece which had started running away from me. I could hear my heart beating faster than ever. My mouth turned dry tasting bitter. My hands started trembling. Then my whole body. My mind seemed to be flying in nowhere.

Little by little, I tried to take the control of the scene. I closed my eyes and ears to the audience. The last words I heard were “Ben! Where are you man?!”, and then the silence came.

I felt as if I have stopped running for the piece. “Let it go Ben!”, a voice scattered into my body. My fingers started flying around to catch a butterfly. Yes! I felt them moving and I saw the butterfly dancing in the sky. One by one, my fingers landed on the piano. I wondered where the note was coming from. The butterfly led the scene.
